Need some input on this. Bought a new to me 2002 Aero with manual tranny. Has 218,000 miles 1 owner who bought new. Car has ALL receipts of EVERYTHING done to car since new. Aside from the usual repairs, there appeared to be no engine issues until November of 2016, when she took the car in with an oil leak. The shop changed the crank seal, oil pump o-ring, oil pressure sensor, valve cover gasket, and dropped , cleaned and resealed oil pan. Also noted the PCV hoses were squishy and whole new PCV kit. Since then she only drove the car about 1000 miles, but the car used about 1 quart of oil per 150 miles and was full of condensation. I purchased the car pretty cheap and immediately noticed the check valve between the big hose by the valve cover and the throttle body was installed backwards. I corrected that, but car is still burning about 1 quart per 500 miles. Engine runs very smoothly and quietly and has excellent power. There are absolutely NO visible
leaks.
So I'm looking for some input on where to look next. Thinking maybe valve seals, or rings, or turbo? The car has had a ton of work done on it the last 40,000 miles (new struts, shocks, subframe bushings, control arm bushings, clutch, brake pads, rotors, DIC, fuel pump, alternator, crank sensor) and drives like its almost new. Any input would be appreciated.
