A while back (a year or a bit more) I posted an experience where an oil change on 2 cars, one 01 v6 and one 99 i4 resulted in low oil pressure light while hot and idle. Both with Mobile 1 and changed different type of filters with the problem remaining.

The 01 V6 now has a good oil pressure sensor (replaced the switch) and the pressure never went to 0, but did get as low as about 7lbs.

Since then I stumbled one the oil from Mobile called...

Mobil Super Synthetic 10W-30 Motor Oil

I just used this oil for the current oil change in both cars and it is so far working fine. On the i4 the light is not coming on at idle even when hot. Same on the V6 with the pressure being in general higher by 20lbs or so.

Does anyone know the real difference between this oil and true MOBILE 1?
