Remove and replace the exhaust studs. Be patient, it's very likely they are already compromised and ready to snap off. Mine were. One or two studs were broken on each car and then two or three snapped, or more accurately, disintegrated, when I tried to remove them. I then had to drill and e-z out out the old ones. It was an adventure and would have been much easier with the head already out of the car. I then replaced mine with ARP stainless steel studs and so far, five years later on one car, and one year later on the other, so good.
One note, I used the recommended anti-seize compound on the first car's studs, torqued to spec both the stud and the cap nut, just to have two studs fall out after only a few days. Now I put medium strength loc tite on them, mostly to prevent the aluminum and stainless steel from swapping ions. Seems to work, although I have not yet had to remove a stud, soooo...
