I'll have a look at this. I've replaced the vacuum line that goes to the electric valve on the firewall. I have had that vacuum line from the turbo bypass valve pop off the electric valve a couple of times and trigger a code.
If the bypass valve is bad that could be the root cause, and my wife isn't crazy after all. I keep accusing her of either hitting the key or having stuff on the seat strike the key and shut off the car.
I see that there are aftermarket bypass valves available from site sponsors that appear to be more robust and slightly pricier than the plastic OEM item.
