I had an '88 9000T in the past, had it until about 205K until a family member drove it, and didn't notice it overheating and kept driving! Augh. Loved that thing.

Later on in life, I leased a loaded 2002 9-5 Aero 5-speed -- wish I kept it! I looked up its Carfax recently. After I returned it, it became a CPO car for someone in Massachusetts for a few years, then it lived many years in Dallas, Texas, and now someone in Kansas has it. Seems that it has proven to be a durable vehicle!

Of note, I recently bought a 1992 900 S Conv and love it!

So I'm thinking of getting a 9-5 again, what might be the best year to get? I read somewhere that the PCV issues were sorted out from 2006-onwards.

How long can a well maintained 9-5 reasonably last? 300,000 miles? Is the manual more durable than the auto? Or are they about the same?
