Lug bolt corners rounding off?? Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Mon, 23 Apr 2018 18:26:49 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Last Fall when installing my winter tires, and again last week when removing the tires, I had problems with the lug bolts getting jammed in my 17mm impact socket.
Two possibilities: the lug bolt corners are rounding off allowing the bolts to jam, or the 17mm socket is opening up slightly allowing the lug bolts to move and jam.
Anyone else have a similar problem? A set of new lug bolts is not prohibitively expensive but a new socket is cheaper yet!
