9-5 Spring perch heights comparison Posted by Snowmobile [Email] (#686) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Snowmobile) on Tue, 31 Jul 2018 08:05:06 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So this has been an ongoing discussion here, so I thought I would provide some visual data. See image below. I just did rear shocks on a 2005 Arc wagon and still have an old shock from a 2004 sedan to compare with. So, from top to bottom in the photo, we have:
1) 2005 9-5 Arc wagon original shock (H6551, 12 759 467)
2) Koni Sport (802754SPORT) on the lowest perch
3) 2004 9-5 Arc sedan original shock (H159, 50 63 433)
The konis on the lowest perch are the same height as the sedan shocks, but lower than the wagon shocks by about 7-10mm. When the spring perch is raised, the wagon shocks are lower than the konis by about 7mm or so (the wagon height for Arc is about midway on the Konis).
Hopefully that will help those interested in setting their spring height.
Eeuro specs the same Koni Sport for all 9-5's of this vintage - wagon, sedan, arc, aero, afaik anyway, and possibly for all years also. IIRC, Talliaferro has different options? Not sure now, as it was a while ago when I bought the set for the sedan, but measurement wise, they were the same.
