These went on great. I replaced the snap style hose clamps with standard stainless worm drive hose clamps. In some cases the quick style are useful and work well, but these clamping locations are a nuisance to access and it is much easier to get either a slot screwdriver or an 8mm socket on a worm drive...
Getting the coolant bypass valve out without wrecking anything else was the hard part. I didn't use cable based hose clamp removers - I have normal ones, but for many of these, vice grips worked better. That was a tip I got from the Fixmysaab website. The vice grips easily spring the clamps open and then lock in that position.
Now have some other issues to resolve to get this car back on the road! What I thought would be routine maintenance kinda snowballed as I found new problems, and tbh I will not be able to address them all at this time - will need to order more parts, eg corroded ATF cooler lines :-( those would have been nice to replace now with the fan out,.
