Why are they ever tighter? If it's the tire shop get a shop that tightens to the proper torque. My shop uses a torque wrench.That's bout 1 out 10 shops that do it right in my neighborhood. I know some places say to keep the wheel faster threads dry, but I grew up in the rust belt and my threads get a small dab of silicone grease.
