I don't understand why you just can't use black oxide finished alloy steel. Such impact sockets are widely available. Use of huge breaker bars on lug nuts to me seems silly. For $300 or so you can get a moderately sized compressor and an half inch impact gun that's good for 700 ft-lb.
I use a black oxide deep six point half inch socket and a 20" long ratchet handle. My wheels come off twice a year, spring and fall to install / remove summer / winter tires and wheels. I torque my wheels to 85 - 90 ft-lb and I've never had a problem even after autocrossing. I also use a SMALL dab of anti-seize on the threads since my cars see road salt. Some of them even have two sets of lugs, one for winter / salt use, and one for summer.
