I removed & reinstalled it to install connections for a digital FM receiver. It is actually easier to remove than the head units in the old 9-5's.
Those black plastic circles on the face of the unit are screw covers. Use a piece of duct tape or similar to remove the covers, place tape on each cover than peel off. They should pop out enough to grab with fingers or needle nose pliers if they do not remove completely.
Remove the four screws now visible, and pull the unit out.
