We have now joined the 9-7X family :)

It was a sad day recently when we had to make the decision to not fix our '01 9-5 wagon (more on that on that board). We loved that car but the recent repair that was needed was putting our vacation in jeopardy since it was the one that tows our travel trailer and the decision was made to start shopping. The timing of all this happened to luck us into a great deal ($11k) on a 2006 9-7X in time to still make our vacation. It has about 80k miles on it, new Nokian WRG2 tires, new brakes all around, and new rear suspension air bags. After 2 weeks of driving, including towing the trailer, I can say that we are thrilled with this vehicle. I read this board before buying it and I noticed others complaining of wind noise. Honestly, I have only heard something ever so slight once when in an extreme cross wind at 70mph. Otherwise, this vehicle is as quiet as I could hope for. It drives VERY nice (definitely not a Trailblazer) and the seats are also VERY comfortable.
Our hope is that the small number of posts on this board equates to a fairly trouble free vehicle. I suppose time will tell. We still love our other 9-5 ('99 lpt, 275k miles and going strong) and look forward to many more years of happy Saabing with the addition of the 9-7X :)
