I guess we all have our opinions about oil change frequency and brands of oil filters. I also suspect that not much of what is said on these boards will change that.
Personally, I've used frams for 30+ years without any ill effects. I've recently used Mann filters. I've not noticed any deleterious effects. For that matter, the eary VWs didn't have filters, they had screens. I've seen discussions on types antifreeze, power steering fluid, brake fluid etc. As I said, everyone has their own "expert" opinion. I guess the most important thing is to just change it.
