To all in this thread, Brett H most of all, it's important to remember that the running of the fuel pump is controlled by the ECU.
Lots and lots of C900 fuel pumps have been replaced when someone notices that they aren't working, when what's happening is they aren't being told by the ECU that it's proper to be running - - no signal is going to the fuel pump relays.
That is, the ECU isn't getting a hall effect signal telling it the engine is turning over.
Non-running can also be a spark issue.
And if the problem here really is no burnable fuel getting to cylinders, here are a few other possible culprits:
o Water in gas - - enough of this and you need to purge entire reachable contents of tank, and best of all also dip out and sponge out with a clean rag the part that's below reach of the fuel pump, after removing pump, then purge lines and change fuel filter. What's in the fuel rail and injectors can purge itself on cranking and trying to start; some will reflow to tank and wind up in unreachable bottom below fuel pickup.
o No gas. How much is in the tank?
You can look for a no-start checklist here and run through it.
