Thanks for all the advice! Looks like finding a chromed grill of my car's vintage will be tough, so I'll try to find another painted grill and have that chromed per Larry's advice. That way I can go back to spec if I ever sell the car.

I remember that back in the 80s they were getting rid of chome on cars, but I think the old SPG would look pretty spiffy with a chromed grill.
