Lexol is mediocre to poor at everything to do with leather.. from my own direct experiences.
But barring something better..experiment? from a leather shop??
What.. was. truly excellent was Connaly Bros Hide Food.. sadly no longer available after 100 years of production. It did turn Wood hard leather into soft supple stuff with a couple of applications over a couple of weeks.
Shame really.
You sure the colour is painted on rather than Analine dyed?
