I put a plastic floor mat (the ones that go under office chairs) on the conv top every night. The bottom side is covered in spikes so, of course, you face that side up.
We tried everything including sprays designed for this specific purpose. The mat was is the only that worked.
So far, I've only lost one mat when I forgot to take it off before a drive:\ It's bound to happen again though.
