I was going to lunch one day and the key broke off in my ignition. I was able to get the piece out and the Saab dealer was much closer than my second set of keys at home. I called them up, they had ONE key blank left in stock, and he cut it using an ancient looking punch just by the VIN number. $19 out the door.
