Replacing ECU

I have a unique problem as my 90 SPG runs for about 20 minutes, it will start idling around 1,500 RPMs. If I turn the AC on, the problem goes away and idles around 900 RPMs. Also, turning the car off then back on fixes the problem for another 15-20 minutes, then it starts idling around 1,500 RPMs.

I thought, I would replace the ECU with a spare unit to see if that fixes the idling problem-Is their anything I need to know besides disconnecting the battery-Didn't see anything in the Bentley manual.

One more thing, a few years ago, the ECU was replace with a ...948 unit. Problem started about a year ago.


PS-Vaccum lines look good.
