I had an automatic that someone had yanked the kickdown shift cable 1/2" out from it"s proper "seat" where it enters the transmission. It was stuck, essentially shortening the cable which caused several shifting problems. Take a close look. It's hard to see. The flywheel bolts have thicker hex-heads and I've got a bunch if you need a set.
