Without warning.....when the fan switch is set on the big arrows, and going up a hill ( low manifold pressure ) the flap changes from the dash to the defroster. Then, when going down the hill ( high manifold pressure ) the flap shuts the defroster, and the air comes out the dash vents.
I've checked the following:
1) Tank holds vacuum
2) Lines are well connected
3) Check valve on firewall is OK
I can hear a sweek when the flap is changing -- not an air leak from the servo.
OK, so I'm trying to rule out everything before I do pancreatic surgery taking out the dash......
Did I miss something obvious? I've read the factory manual and Bentley, and didn't find any clues or crumbs except the recirculation solenoid which I have yet to find....
