JMHO, but it seems like a lot of work (to re-wire them for always on). OK, maybe not A LOT, but at least some. I've got the factory running lights (clear lenses). I like the extra light in low beams and when foggy I run them with the headlights off (they come on with the parking lights, too).
Justin is right that they switch off when the high beams are engaged, but frankly, I don't see much need for more light once you are on the high beams. Seems plenty bright to me.
