Sorry for the delayed response as I didn't get emails because I failed to follow instructions. So there is definitely electronic fuel injects. No black distributor box behind the left head light. Underneath the throttle linkage there is no wires connected. There is a a wire plug connected to a sensor on the opposite side though (passenger side of the throttle body). It's not a big black box in the wheel well. I believe it's still the Hall effect one.

To give a little back story, I converted the car from the original b-type 8v to an '84 h-type before the tranny went out and I had the switch done to the 16v (the h-type motor had almost 500k on it which is why I wanted to do the conversion).

I attached a link with some pictures of the three things hoping that might help and hopefully it works.

I'm in Boise Idaho and Swedish car connection did it but the owner never answers his phone or responds to messages and when I get a hold of him he hasn't been much help. Haven't been able to get a hold of him since I gave up on him helping me to ask what year the motor is and details about the conversion.
