Take a good jumper cable, and ground the engine block to a solid body bolt.
See if it makes any difference. If not, you're chasing the wrong tail......you might make sure there is a ground strap between the alternator and the engine/body. Simple things like making sure the fan belt is not loose on the alternator pulley......I didn't read the entire thread, so I apologize if others already mentioned these things.
I had similar problems with fans that challenged the electrical system. Took them to my auto electric shop, they tested for drawing excessive current. They worked over something, I installed them after cleaning contacts, putting star washers in between the body ground and cable, then the problem went away. I don't know if it is a single point solution, probably additive over several things noted above.
