Ok, that makes sense on the cat, I'll leave it alone for now.
As for the o2 sensor, yes, it's a used unit but known to be functioning from the local guy I get parts from. I have a new o2 sensor on hand but am unable to remove the old one from either my car's original exhaust elbow or the replacement I found. Would a faulty O2 sensor cause coughing/choking once warmed up?
For the AMM, I sent mine to injection labs and they went over it. The only notes I got back from Kevin was that I was about 140mV out of calibration and he corrected that. I did have to make a slight adjustment to reach 380 ohms to begin Notnoel's voltage tests.
I have reman'd injectors that I just installed. How would I know if they are leaking? And again, why wouldn't leaking injectors cause problems when the engine isn't fully warmed up?
I haven't been through the engine mechanically, and to be honest, I've been a bit daunted by the prospect of having to get that into it on that level. No Saab specialist has time for me here in Minneapolis, so I guess I'm forced into it. From a quick google search, a compression test doesn't sound too difficult. What kind of results should I get and what kind of fixes would I be looking at if the test fails?
