I completed the exhaust manifold gasket replacement last night, and was successfully able to remove the manifold without breaking any nuts or studs and without being forced to remove the turbo. The new studs and gasket are on and the car sounds great and the leaks are gone, however, my issues still exist:
The car starts and idles great, then when it reaches temperature, it coughs and chokes when I step on the gas.
I ran through the o2 sensor voltage test/adjustment after I refit the manifold and my readings are right where they should be. I made two recordings (each with a different '86 ECU) of the symptoms for anyone who's interested:
1. https://www.dropbox.com/s/eei7f60ndp8afo8/Saab%20ECU%201.m4a?dl=0
2. https://www.dropbox.com/s/0ns7l3uufpdjflk/Saab%20ECU%202.m4a?dl=0
Each recording begins with the car at idle, then I apply the gas pedal to try to get the car up to 2k rpms, then I try to push it to around 3k. Hopefully, you'll be able to hear the hestitation. Then I let the engine return to idle.
Anyone else heard sounds like these?
