SRS reset in Maine? Posted by Frak [Email] (#1515) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Frak) on Tue, 5 Dec 2017 17:12:04 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
1992 Jet Black Saab 900 Turbo
Unfortunately, ignition woes knocked Saaby out in a car wash.
Fortunately, this was across the street from a "Saab Indy".
Unfortunately, they wouldn't help me push the black beauty into their lot.
Fortunately, some hipsters were all too eager to block traffic for the classic.
Unfortunately, the so called "Saab Indy" shop waited three full days (Fri afternoon) to work on it and then charged me $150 to install a $25 Napa delivered Accel coil and in the process set off my SRS light while troubleshooting said ignition woes. Which they denied of course. (No, they don't have a Tech 2/SRS adapter).
Fortunately, Saaby made it 100 miles home before the loss of power under load, which as it turns out was a Hall effect sensor failing, knocked black mamba out again.
I'm certain they disconnected the ignition lock relay with the ignition on while troubling shooting the arcing coil.
That being said, anyone able to direct me to a simple SRS reset in the western half of Maine?
