Hello,
Yes a clunk in reverse on your brakes is usually caused by the "yoke" of the brake caliper being worn. The yoke is the piece that holds outer brake pad and the hydraulic portion rests in it to press against the inner pad and push against the yoke to pull the outer pad in. The yoke wears were it contacts the groove in the hydraulic portion. People have tried to weld onto the yoke were it is worn or place a shim over that portion but it rarely works. The real problem is the rebuilt units out there are worn to the same degree. So most people consider the clunk in reverse as a normal condition.Good Luck, Bernie
