Cruise control dump valve removal Posted by Ken [Email] (#2113) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ken) on Thu, 14 Jun 2018 13:00:39 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
92 turbo convertible, 5-speed. Clutch operated dump valve will not hold a steady vacuum. Brake valve works great. So I ordered a new valve but i'm curious as to how best to remove the old one. I'd rather not damage the old one, but not sure how to avoid that.
I know the switch/valve has a plastic clip that snaps into a hole on this bracket above the pedals, and it seems logical that one simply compresses the clip but there's prescious little room. And I fear 26-year old plastic does not like to be messed with. Can the bracket be removed and the switch replaced on the bench?
Open to suggestions
