Yeah, back when I lived back in the salt belt, my '88 900S sedan had problems with ice collecting around those hard curves in the weatherstripping.

If you're lucky, you can find some decent door weatherstripping in pick-n-pulls from lightly-used C900s. Occasionally, you'll find one that has been well cared for and didn't spend its 30 some-odd years baking in the sun.

Let me ask another couple of questions to try to narrow things a bit: When it rains, do you see water collecting on the black door sillplate by the door opening? Does water drip down the carpet on the kickpads on the sides of the footwells?

If it collects on the sillplate along the door opening, it might be that the dust membrane (the thin molded plastic sheet underneath the door panel) is broken or that the butyl adhesive along the bottom of the membrane has been pulled around and doesn't direct water to the drainage hole in the door. That happens with mine when it rains hard enough that the window scraper doesn't keep water out of the door.

PS - are the door drains clear?

If water dribbles down the carpet on the side of the right footwell, the gasket that is supposed to seal the fusebox to the body probably shrank. I've stuffed in a wadded up plastic bag to divert water at that location.

Another thing comes to mind: if your car doesn't already have them, try to dig up the plastic drain tubes that go in the holes on the side of the drip rail in front of the doors. Those eliminated a lot of the leakage on my '89. IIRC they started using them in '92.
