Help with Cruise Control on 1986 C900 Turbo..... Posted by vsfoxe [Email] (#1025) [Profile/Gallery] (more from vsfoxe) on Thu, 26 Jul 2018 01:22:43 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've had the car a couple years, and Cruise never worked. With help from RogerD We found a leaking hose from pump to under dash, so we replaced it. Now - No light when Cruise Control switch is operated. The Stalk looks like an OEM Saab stalk with no TIP, so I think that's right. But - when Cruise Control (CC) is selected by (end of stalk) switch, CC will appear to work except it seems to creep upwards very slowly. Then, if you press the end of stalk switch again, the car will accelerate at a rapid rate, and the CC cannot be disengaged by the on-off switch. It can only be disconnected by the clutch or brake pedal. Light never comes on.
I have zero experience, but this seems like just the opposite of what happens if you replace an old stalk with a newer (TIP) stalk. Does anyone have a link to the thread(s) which describe what wiring changes you must make when you install a newer type stalk? Help! Vern -
