That solution solves the proprietary O ring circular mating problem. What is the diameter of the tube at the "stand" side where it is cut off?
I may have an alternate way than the brass fittings that I found at the hydraulics shop -- it is just a sleeve and an adapter with a nut that swages the sleeve over a tube. The tube I used this one was for the oil supply on the turbo. If they are the same, it would allow a quick fit to side the swaged collar over the tube, connect the adapter with the swaging nut and tighten up the nut and adapter. This connects the adapter to the tube.
NOW, you have an option to go with a -4 AN fitting and I think they have a -6 AN fitting on the adapter, so you can get "normal" lines built for the connections.
Of course the same thing has to happen on the oil cooler adapter side in my case, to use the adapter to connect to an AN fitting.
Gonzo -- can you please measure the OD of the Volvo AC line and any idea what Volvo that is off of, or do they all share the same O ring idea basically.
