'97 9000 Aero - Vacuum Hoses

Hi, does anyone know if the vacuum hoses from the intake manifold to the Y-piece that connect to the APC guage and the dump valve is of any importance?? Have just changed the standard rubber hoses with some silicon hoses. The new hose has an interenal diameter of approx. 3mm. I noticed the vacuum hose for the dump valve seemed to have a larger internal diameter. Advice and thoughts appreciated. BTW, am running a Forge reciculating dump valve. Chrs Tony
