This hose got so brittle from age and heat that it just cracked where it connected to the PCV nipple. I tried to splice some fresh hose in, but it just kept cracking further up. I've rigged something with a smaller hose press-fit in the bigger hose that I think can only be temporary. I don't want to spring for the $100 that a replacement costs, so I'm thinking that I can just separate the two lines. Since I live in San Diego, I think that there should be no downside to this, since my car never sees freezing weather. Please comment if you think otherwise.
