I went through similar issues this summer with my '94 Saab Aero. Initially, my shop said it wasn't a fuel issue and then replaced the CPS (wasn't it), OS2 sensor (nope) and plugs and DI (neither). After taking it in and out of he shop most all of the summer, it turned out to be the fuel pump. I guess it was "going" but not dead but these were signs it was on it's last legs. Car has run fine since.
