First of all, the voltage reading on the car was fine- 12.65 volts. This was with the rear fog and DRL fuses pulled. Remember, there's a LOT of things going on here. Anyway, after I determined that, I went after changing out the rear wiper motor because it was slow as hell. While doing that, I saw that the ground wire to the left of the motor looked partially disconnected. Indeed, it was fully disconnected. Only held in place by a zip tie. Fixed that. Figured I would try the motor again. Worked perfectly. Hey, let's check the rear fog light and rear defroster. Both worked and the indicator lights in the dash no longer came on when the other was used. SUCCESS! Buttoned everything back up in back. proceed to DRL relay buzzing issue. Changed relay. No difference. Relay still buzzing like crazy. Changed headlight switch. No difference. Wait a minute! What's that buzzing under the hood? Proceed to find the headlight relay buzzing like crazy and it's BLACK! yes, it appears someone put the pre '95 ('pre '94?) relay in the car. Changed that to my known good red one from my '95. No buzzing ANYWHERE and everything now works! *crosses fingers*
