Ignition switch OK- todays starting adventure

Finally had time to work on this again. It was easier for me to take out the ignition switch and clean the contacts, and confirm continuity then to test the yellow wire coming off the back. Mostly due to being able to work on it on the kitchen table instead of lying upside down in a foot well.

I believe the ignition switch is functional. There was also 12 volts to the two poles marked "30" on the connector to the switch.

Also,I was able to synchronize the remote key controller by pushing the left button five times. Door locks work as well as trunk release. I believe the alarm system works, but wondering if it could still be the culprit.

I still think the no start is due to a relay. I will try doing the starter solenoid bypass (bump start) and see if the engine runs.

Thanks for all the interest and input on my rebuild adventure.

ps- off to volunteer for bell ringing duty later this afternoon. If that doesn't bring good karma....
