Thanks for the details. It's a huge help.
I am fortunate to have an extra set of hands when needed. are there meters out there that record the history of use? ( Mine is one that I paid a few dollars for, and the backup is one they gave me for free at harbor freight!)

I will test the alarm area tonight.
One thing I am wondering about is how the problem came about. I haven't touched anything inside the dash until now, and we put it away working. I of course did take the engine out, and in doing so took the electrical off the computer. I am assuming that this line comes through there as well. do you have any thoughts on this part of the path?
