That starts every time with a jump bit.

Also, Aero, I notice you said the positive battery cable has been replaced.

If it's a cable specific to the car, Saab or not, with one large power cable over to the starter and a cable also off to the terminal strip to power everything else, both made into the clamp, then it's probably not your problem.

But if it's one of those clamp-on aftermarket new ends, with two bolts and a strap meant to clamp over the stripped-off ends of the cables, beware.

Those are notorious for corroding, in under that strap.

If that's your problem, you can get by in the short run by cleaning up both cable ends and the clamp and strap itself, and reassembling.

But for the long haul, before it corrodes again, get a proper cable for the car, from a junkyard, a site sponsor, an indy garage, or even NAPA or other auto parts place.
