I had my local indy reset My SRS when it showed a fault.
The Tech 2 Contraption cleared the SRS fault (temorarily it turned out) but removed the drivers' door from the Pictograph. Just too stupid to invent this level of idiocy.
Not willing to trust to that half assed T2 gizmo further , ever,
I bought a 'guaranteed' fault free SRS unit from the UK, Less than $10 delivered :-)
However it remains unused as I simply pulled the SRS light bulb in the interim. And..after having seen exactly what the Early version design Airbags.. actually do.. damage wise, when fired off in an 9000, I was genuinely concerned with the prospect of horrid 'thing'
explode in MY face. Rather shave with a Weasel.. to paraphrase :-)
Turned off or better yet removed entirely is IMO clever.
Plus it allows one to reinstall the extremely useful Glove box.
