Turn signal/ flasher relay

I found a relay at a junkyard to replace mine that would operate the turn signals, but not the flashers, and likewise resisted a long term solder re-flow fix. ( '97 9000, Saab part # 41 14 971)
It was the exact same part, the white 7 prong oem (hella).
When I changed it out, upon test I heard it click once, then no turn signals or flashers. Upon changing it back to the original, now that doesn;'t work either. Turn signal Fuse 12 pulled is good (15A).
Any ideas what happened, ? whats the issue..?
