Very adventurous of you to tackle this, good full detail, and your word that it works, twice. Could be very helpful and money and time saving to lots of us who wind up in the same boat.

One question, just how did you shape a single-edge razor blade into a disc? Cutoff wheel, lots of careful work, I'd bet.

They're hard as glass and brittle so no cutting them, obviously.

I'm sure you'll report back if it doesn't last.
