yup The blade was easier/les problematic than anticipated. Just used my Bench grinder ..with care. Took about 10 mins followed by a hand edge smooth polish.
Annoyingly the 2nd Rebuild proved ineffective (lowish boost) as the pesky oem 'disc' snagged an edge of it's valve chamber (stuck)...Again, within mins of 'field testings' :-)
Despite my reducing it's diameter a bit to preclude this happening.
Definitely not diameter reduced enough.
Without much doubt THIS is what kills these Valves, an inept design of the valve body and valve disc. Disc edge snags.. oscillating Mag field works on the disc and it breaks up into bits.
Wonder Where? those bits of shrapnel ultimately migrate to ???
Will have to redo this valve .. again.. sigh. Using an utility blade (thicker, stronger) as disc donor as well as making it ~1mm undersize.
Not today's project though.
