When I pulled into the driveway this evening the ABS light went out and I got ABS activation at the top of the driveway. I pulled the harmonica connector off and checked the resistance of the sensors again. One of the rears read 1800 ohms, the other was open. I think I have broken wires to both rear sensors. I opened the connectors under the rear seats under the rectangular foam plugs and got open readings on both rear sensors. I put some resistors together to make (2) 1100 ohm "jumpers". I rang them out from the harmonica to check that cable run and the both rang out at 1100 ohms so my main cable is good. I connected the harmonica to the ABS computer with the 1100 ohm jumpers still in place at the rear connectors and started the car. The ABS light stayed on momemtarily and went out. I then put the car in reverse and backed up a few feet to see if the ABS light would go on. Instead I backed the right rear door into the left rear fender of my GMC truck. DOH!!!! No major damage to the door or the truck. Just a scratch on each. I was concerned that I screwed up the door jamb of the Saab and pictured serious damage that would prevent the rear door from closing. Nope. You can hardly tell I pulled such a bonehead move. I think (2) rear ABS sensors is gonna set me back a few bucks. I might call around to the u-pull-its.
