The one on the bell housing end of things. As I recall I nipped the wire off the old one up close, then used a socket to remove it. QUICKLY slipped new one, all cleaned up, into the hole and hand-started it but needed as I recall lots of turns of an open-end wrench, maybe even flipping it every time I reset it, to get the new one in tight since I didn't want to cut the wire off it.
As I recall it was so hard to get at I decided if I ever needed to do it again I was going to cut the terminal end off the wire of the new one, and then splice the old wire onto the new sender with solder and heat-shrink tubing to insulate the joint.
I think this was one of those jobs where popping the terminal apart wasn't fun. I stuck a tiny screwdriver in straight from the end under the knurled red plastic piece and pried it up some, then worked it further out while tugging the terminals apart. They get filled up with fine road dust and don't come apart willingly.
