Bill, if just changing batteries did that there'd be a lot of SRS lights needing special-tool attention.
What DOES trigger SRS light is pulling SRS fuse WHILE BATTERY IS HOOKED UP.
You should be able to remove one battery and install another with no effect on the SRS system.
You will lose stored station memories on the radio, and also have to reinput radio code, and whatever learned programming the ECU has done it will have to go back to basics and relearn. None of these a very big deal.
