Hate to differ with you about the adhesive to reattach the upper and lower parts of the old style BPC valve. The valve can easily be exposed to greater than 180 F heat, both from internally generated coil heat, and from under hood temperatures that can exceed 200 degrees after a hot shut down. The valve is located in a especially hot area above the radiator, exhaust manifold, and turbo, plus being near a hot side radiator hose. Cyanoacrylate type adhesives are not known for their temperature or moisture resistance. A more suitable adhesive would be an acrylic like Devcon Plastic Welder II, that has a service temperature of 250F.
Might be a good idea to test the valve before using it to verify it operates properly. Orally blow into the center port, air should come out only one port, the other port should be tightly blocked off internally. The valve can be switched to the other position, by carefully and very quickly sparking 12V between the center and an out side connector contacts. 12V only needs to be applied for a fraction of a second to switch the valve. The valve should make an audible click and air should flow out the other port and tightly block off the opposite port. Take care applying 12V to the valve coils they can readily over heat or the fine wire could blow open.
