When I got my 9000 the heater core had recently been replaced by the previous owner, but not the blower motor. Naturally it shortly started making noise, so I went in and replaced it. By the time you get to the blower motor you're most of the way in to the heater core as well. It really wasn't that bad a job. (Bear in mind on many cars you have to remove the entire dashboard down to the bare firewall to do this!) I've read that the early (pre-1993) are tougher.
I don't know what the parts would cost in Italy, here in the US I paid about $60 for a new genuine Bosch blower motor. I just looked up the heater core on eeuroparts.com and it was about $50. So especially for someone that can do their own mechanical own work I would not necessarily reject a 9000 just because it has a bad heater core.
