It is allot of oil, I haven't a clue where it's going. The previous owner also informed me about the mystery oil loss and didn't have any idea of the location. But he did add that the turbo unit is original and the car is up at 215,000 perhaps the unit is slowly leaking at high revs.
But even that theory is hard to believe because letting the car sit and idle for 5min then punching the throttle while the car is in neutral no smoke at all comes out the tail pipe. Only place that has clear signs if oil loss is at the shifter shaft. This is what has my mind boggled because how could motor oil be at the shifter shaft.
The old owner has thought it needed a new shifter shaft seal but the tran's oil level is fine. Puzzling indeed.
