Yeah, I think your pretty close...
It does appear someone replaced the HK amp with the nokia unit. They do use the same head units, the HK cars have six channels rather than four leaving the amp, but all have four channels coming from the head to the amp (subwoofers gets the low-frequency from both front and rear).
I'm not surprised some of the speakers have issues, but usually it's crackles from broken tweeter domes (plastic), and torn surrounds, so I would suggest you take a look at the back to make sure there isn't just something unplugged between the two speakers.
Wiring for the fronts are pretty straight forward - 3-1/2" mid range with a component tweeter wired in parallel.
Wiring in the back is a bit weird - the 6x9 subwoofer has the tweeter mounted in the center of it, and then the 3-1/2" mid is mounted behind it. What you see looking under the carpet in the back, is a 6x9 with a plug on each end of it, one of which has the mid-range plugged into it in parallel.
